The Bill Bowden Pavilion

Many Old Boys know the Bill Bowden Pavilion, having visited during Rugby Matches or prior to or after the Old Boys' Dinner. However, you may not know what happens here throughout the year.

The Bill Bowden is open every night of the week. It is available to all friends of Wynberg - Old Boys, Parents and Neighbours - and is a great place to meet and indulge in a couple of Sundowners while enjoying the magnificent views.

Many Old Boys hold their reunions at the BBP. These are always great fun and range from formal lunches / dinners and cocktail evenings to Bring 'n Braais. This year the following reunions took place : 1955, 1960, 1965, 1980, 1985 and 2005. We encourage you to get your old school mates together and meet. How does the Bill Bowden assist your old Alma Mater ? The steady stream of profits from sales is fed back to the school in various ways by the Old Boys' Committee in the form of sponsorships, upgrading of sports facilities and general assistance in many spheres. It is also the venue for many school functions, meetings and parties and plays host to touring teams, both local and overseas.

Special events such as Rugby Evenings, Lucky Draws, Dinners and Dances are also held here. You are missing out if you have never attended one of our Open Mike Evenings. Keep an eye on the WOBU website and the Facebook Group to see what's ahead. We would really like to see more Old Boys utilising their very own pub.

Mon : 5pm to 9pm
Tues, Wed, Thurs : 1pm to 9pm
Fri : 1pm to 11pm
Sat : Times change according to functions / school activities
Sun : Closed except by special arrangement.

Note : The above are the minimum hours. The hours are extended whenever people are here and having a good time.
